Mike looked into jobs all over the country, and found several great options. Somehow through each of our conversations, we kept returning to one opportunity again and again. So yesterday, he signed a contract to work in...
Minnesota!
Yes, we are excited enough at this great opportunity to move to the Twin Cities and brave the infamous Northern Winters.
We are still in the process of working out the details, but by early July, we hope to be in our new home.
So, if any of you live near Minneapolis or St. Paul, and need a great eye doctor for your kids, Mike will be looking for patients!
I am so happy for you! A home at last!!!! I sure wish you were coming back here...but I am still super excited for you.

Congratulations, that's so exciting! But I just can't believe that you could be looking forward to leaving Iowa . . . there's no way. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYay! I grew up in the Blaine ward (in the Anoka stake), just north of the Twin Cities. I never lived there as an adult, but it was an awesome place to grow up...great schools, nice people, and now there's even a temple too! My cousin and sister live there (one in Eden Prairie and one in Lakeville), so if you're interested in talking to anyone in those areas, let me know and I can get you in touch.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. That is so exciting for you. Nate and I regularly make our way up there to visit his uncle and aunt in Lakeville. Maybe we can get together sometime.
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow! I can't believe you are completely finished! And to think we started this crazy journey at the same time...why do we still have 2 1/2 years left...
ReplyDeleteCongrats and I am so excited for you to get settled! Good luck with the winters. They are bad enough here in upstate NY:)
Congratulations! It is so fun to finally have a spot to settle down and call home. I can't wait to finally put down some roots. When the cold weather gets too much for you, come visit us in Dallas! There were sure some good times in med school. We miss you guys. Congrats again.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and Mike!!
